Mozambique is made up of several ethnic groups that give it its zest, soul and diversity that we have all grown to love. The main ethnic groups in Mozambique are Makhuwa, Tsonga, Makonde, Shangaan, Shone, Sena, Ndau and a few other indigenous groups.
THE CLIMATE:
Situated on the coast of Africa, Mozambique is a tropical destination that offers its guests a paradise-like experience of the most beautiful palm-fringed beaches, breathtaking scenery and summer climate for most of the year. That does not mean there is little to no rain. Mozambique is governed by a wet season from October through to March, but the remainder of the years’ weather is relatively warm and dry.

Mozambique has the most incredible markets that portray a huge variety of spices and condiments that the locals love to cook with, giving their food an amazingly unique flavour.
Seafood in Mozambique is a must, the seafood is fresh and loved by locals and tourists alike. Mozambican food is quite spicy due to the use of chilli peppers, garlic and lemons that are liberally used. Peri-Peri is the go to flavour of most things local and is one of the most characteristic flavours of the cuisine in Mozambique.
THE LANGUAGE:
When it comes to language, Mozambique is a multi-lingual state with a number of Bantu languages, with Portuguese being the official language.
Most Mozambicans are fluent in more than 1 language and majority of the locals speak a mixture of Portuguese, English and their native Bantu languages which include Makhuwa, Sena, Ndau Tsonga and more.
